Helping Youth Heal

It’s time to help youth create a pathway to healing by your support of Alliance’s comprehensive education and training, Healing Youth Alliance for churches, schools, and parents.

This training will teach pastors, educators, families and young adults to recognize signs of trauma in youth and empower them to respond in ways that will begin to create a pathway for healing.

“While the pandemic may have subsided, communities are witnessing its lasting effects on the mental health and wellbeing of our youth,”  says, Sherrye Willis, Founder and CEO of Dallas-based Alliance for Greater Works.  “It will take a shared learning approach to undergird our youth during these traumatic world events in our country.”

According to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, visits to the emergency room for attempted suicides among youth jumped from 31% in 2020 compared with 2019.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Children’s Hospital declared that pandemic in child and adolescent mental health has become a national emergency.

We can do more together.   Join with Alliance and become an ally for youth in distress.
