Resilient Church Collective Welcomes New Steering Committee Member

Alliance for Greater Works is excited to welcome Dr. Christin Fort to Resilient Church Collective’s (RCC) Steering Committee. Dr. Fort is as an assistant professor of clinical psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary where she specializes in the integration of clinical psychology and biblical theology.  Her expertise, research, teaching, preaching, and clinical practice lie at the intersections of faith, race, emotional health, and relational well-being. Dr. Fort is also deeply committed to her work as a practicing psychologist. As a therapist, her work with individuals, couples, and families focuses on matters of faith, race, gender, sexuality, and interpersonal and intergenerational trauma.

On February 8, 2024, Dr. Fort opened the RCC virtual leadership gathering with a presentation, Sounding the Alarm: Mental Illness, Health, Healing, and Wholeness for Black Youth. The theme of the gathering was “Helping Our Hurting Youth Heal.” The gathering also included a panel discussion answering the question: How can the church help our youth heal? The panelists were Jacob Garcia, a 20-year worship leader, Dr. Dianne Robinson, Dr. Ricky Walter, and Brandi Nicole Williams.
