20th Anniversary Gala & Silent Auction Virtual Celebration

“We had a great time virtually celebrating 20 years of Rooted in Service, Committed to Equity,” says Sherrye Willis, Founder/CEO of Alliance for Greater Works™, as she reflected on the September 30th Gala & Silent Auction Celebration! The night was filled with heartfelt messages from current and former board members, past partners and clients, and acknowledgement of our four Equity Champions. The Keynote Speaker, Michelle Ami Reyes’, shared with us how just learning to see people in the image and likeness of God changes the world because it changes our understanding, how we behave, and it makes us want to value what we see.

In addition, our Silent Auction was a huge success as DJ Kim See provided beats while bids came in for auction favorites. One Gala attendee said, “kudos to the Alliance team… I thought the program was one of the best virtual galas I have attended!” Another attendee shared, “I loved the selection of honorees especially Grandmother Opal.”

JoAnn Reyes, a gala attendee and past client commented after the gala, “tears came to my eyes as I realized that the Lord imparted in us “faith” through Alliance’s programs that we could accomplish our mission. Alliance gave us the courage to go out “afraid” and transform lives at Fort Worth Hope Center.”  Last year, we provided groceries to almost 500,000 families and received our first $300,000 grant. All because of your investment in us more than 18 years ago. Thank you!

The evening was made possible by our sponsors, Harold and Rhonda Morgan, Children’s Health Systems,  Baylor Scott & White Health and Wellness Center,  Con-Real, The Honorable Judge Cheryl Williams,  Regions Bank,  Texas Christian University (Addran College of Liberal Arts), SST Accountants & Consultants, Davis Kaufman PLLC, and  The Honorable Judge Bridgett Whittmore for their philanthropic contributions.

This celebration was a success because of the contributions and leadership of the Host committee members including: Sandra Bowie, Jackie Gales, LaLoni Leffall, Joel McCalister (Alliance Board Member), Charmecia Okpara, Vornadette Simpson, and the Honorable Judge Cheryl Williams, who served as fundraising chair. Alliance is deeply grateful for your dedication and creativity in planning this virtual gala and silent auction.

In closing, the 2021 Alliance board and staff would like to thank each one of you for your tireless support of Alliance’s mission. Each donation, ticket sale and word-of-mouth marketing effort is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you for ‘Daring to Believe’ in the mission of Alliance that has equipped more than 25,000 leaders and organizations over the last 20 years. Our vision is that over the next 10 years we will reach more than 100,000 leaders globally
