Board Member Highlight

Joel McCalister is Alliance for Greater Works’ highlighted board member of the month. Joel is a native of Dallas, Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. As well, Joel holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. 

In addition to being a minister of the gospel, with 14 years of previous experience as a senior pastor, Joel worked in the banking industry at Wells Fargo for over 20 years. His banking experience ranges from banking high-net worth individuals, to developing and delivering team member training on consumer credit and small business needs; to serving as a Regional Banking Project Manager for implementation of companywide initiatives and strategies. 

Joel McCalister is passionate about helping others reach their full potential, especially when it comes to the disparities of financial literacy and proficiency amongst different communities. His ministerial experience and his financial expertise are invaluable contributions to the mission and vision of Alliance for Greater Works.
