In the Bible, the number 15 conveys significant themes, including grace, deliverance, restoration, and new beginnings. It’s appropriate that this year’s Resilient Church Collective cohort (RCC) is comprised of 15 churches.
The RCC is known for growth and restoration through knowledge building and dialogue, grace through a safe place to land during bold conversations, and countless opportunities to establish a new direction through extensive learning. The RCC trauma-informed networks of churches, of various sizes and mostly located in eight cities across Texas, are gaining new insights into healing-centered strategies in pastoral, family, congregational, and community care. They will flourish together by participating in leadership retreats, accessing, toolkits, along with exceptional on-demand training, including an Alliance-built training called Youth TRUTH, to help young people learn healing approaches for mental well-being, and so much more.
The 2025 cohort agenda, covered by comprehensive learning with a biblical lens, is overflowing with innovative ways to address trauma and will give congregations the footing they need to excel during seasons of adversity. Our last session of the year is Sustaining the Work: Trauma-Informed Resources, which will be held on December 4, 12noon – 1:00 p.m. CST, virtually.
