Alliance for Greater Works™ invites members of the 2025 Resilient Church Collective (RCC) cohort to apply for the RCC Small Grant Initiative.

This initiative aims to equip churches to respond effectively to the trauma experienced by youth and adults due to ongoing trauma, including COVID-19, intergenerational trauma, and community violence.

Grant Award Goals

Funded projects should aim to:

  • Educate ministry leaders and congregation members about trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma within their communities.
  • Respond by refining policies, practices, and procedures to promote resilience while avoiding re-traumatization.
  • Create and provide resources to help youth and adults recover from trauma.

Grant Amount: Up to $2,500, contingent on the scope of the proposed project.

All proposals must be submitted online via this Request for Proposal (RFP) Portal.

  • Grant Information Session: April 8, 2025, 12-1pm CDT
  • Proposal Submission Deadline: April 29, 2025 @ 6:00 p.m.
  • Grant Award Distribution: Thursday, May 15, 2025
  • Grant Term: May 15, 2025 – September 15, 2025
  • Grant Report Due: October 15, 2025

Grant Award Overview

Eligible Organizations

  • 2025 Resilient Church Collective cohort churches actively engaged in the program.
  • Collaborative proposals between two or more RCC cohort churches are encouraged.

Approved Grant Uses

  • Development of a resource guide for congregants.
  • Hosting a trauma-informed event or project.
  • Counseling services collaborative - start-up planning.

Proposal Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be assessed based on the following factors:

  • Relevance – The project’s ability to increase awareness about trauma in church settings or communities.
  • Capacity – The church’s ability (individually or with partners) to successfully complete grant activities.
  • Budget – A realistic financial plan aligned with project goals.
  • Realistic – A well-structured timeline for implementation.
  • Collaboration (if applicable) – Clearly defined roles and responsibilities for each partner organization.
